Sending our best wishes to @Kingcanners who is recovering from Covid and other health issues - the @ChelseaFC gamechanger has worked with young people from the foundation over a number of years to educate about racism and mental health . Get well soon Paul and see you soon ✊🏾
The end of a productive week as we continue to adapt to the challenges of lockdowns. A huge thanks to the staff, volunteers and young people who have attended our online sessions, & partners who worked hard to launch our projects and plan for the future. Have a great weekend 👏
Excited to announce our partnership with @riofoundation helping to support the Foundation's work with young people and their career aspirations.

Delighted to be working with @AndersonQuigley to support and mentor young people into employment and meaningful careers. A great relationship that started in London and is now being extended across the UK #youngleaders #futuretalent
'Our analysis shows too many of us entered the pandemic already at risk of being cast adrift into poverty, while often lacking secure housing, a reliable income or adequate support. It also shows those of us already struggling have often been hit hardest' - new from @jrf_uk 👇
An excellent report from @jrf_uk demonstrating how austerity and the coronavirus is hitting working class and disadvantaged communities hardest - summary of findings here:
“The future is in the hands of young people, and education is what will shape us into people who will make the world a better place for all.” Borna, 17, UNICEF Croatia Junior Ambassador.
Education cannot wait. The future of an entire generation is at stake. @voicesofyouth

BREAKING: I have declared a major incident in London because the threat this virus poses to our city is at crisis point.
One in 30 Londoners now has COVID-19. If we do not take immediate action now, our NHS could be overwhelmed and more people will die.
Digital poverty & apartheid in UK is real & just because someone has a phone or laptop doesn't mean they have data, internet, software, adequate speed or quality internet etc. Working class youth also experience cultural & social exclusion/isolation due to limited digital access
As we move to a second lockdown in the UK and schools, Universities and youth services once again go back to online working by necessity, this tweet nails our experience for a number of young people, echoed across our national networks. A real issue that to be taken seriously.
😁FREE•ONLINE•WORKSHOP🙌🏼 on 12th JAN for #teachers, #youthworkers, #community workers & frontline #staff who have an interest in combating #hate, creating community #cohesion, holding challenging conversations & working with people with #SEND 👉🏽 pls RT
Good article in @guardian today highlighting the impact of years of cuts, Covid and lack of statutory funding for youth work across the UK - especially in smaller organisations and those delivering frontline services. Time to #InvestinYouth !
